DIY Star garland for the Christmas tree

If you, like me , tend to shy away from tinsel and over the top decorations for your Christmas tree....This cute little garland is just the thing: Adding a subtle touch of sparkle with cute little stars, make this easy , minimal garland to drape all over your tree.

This is such an easy DIY , requiring very little in terms of both materials, effort and time:

I used:
rolling pin
superglue
Baking paper

Roll out the polymer clay to approx 2-3 ml thick...
Place the rolled out clay on some baking paper.

Use the star cutters (I used the largest size) to punch out loads of little stars in the clay...
Remove any excess clay
Transfer the stars on the baking paper to a baking sheet and cook in the oven at 150 degrees for approximately 8-10 minutes (Or according to the instructions on the packet of polymer clay)
Allow to cool....

Superglue the stars with regular intervals onto the gold string...
This may take some time: Do a section at the time, and allow the glue to dry whilst getting on with , so: do the washing up, take a bath or read a magazine.... Then move on to the next section of string....

Don't make your string garland TOO long, or you risk some serious tangling....
rather make a few 1,5 m long sections....

Pretty, simple and adding a subtle touch of sparkle with the gold string...a far cry from garish tinsel, but non the less decorative on you Christmas tree!
